BIOGRAPHY

Julia is a potter and ceramicist based in East Nashville, Tennessee, and the founder of Ceramic Souls, Nashville's first 24/7 community pottery studio.

 

Julia came to pottery not through formal training but through a genuine need for it. After years in corporate America, clay became the thing that slowed her down, brought her back into her body, and taught her things about imperfection that nothing else quite could. That personal experience is the foundation of everything she makes and everything she's built.

 

Her work spans wheel throwing, hand building and sculpture, with an emphasis on functional forms that carry quiet intention. She's drawn to the organic, the imperfect, and the honest — pieces that feel like they were made by human hands because they were.
